About

Bringing together families, educators, and professionals to access clear information, supportive guidance, and community – whenever you need it.

About NeuroNest

NeuroNest was created to make navigating autism feel less overwhelming, more accessible, and more connected. For many families, the journey into autism support begins with uncertainty – questions about development, long waiting lists, and not always knowing where to turn. NeuroNest aims to bring clarity to that process, offering a calm and supportive space where you can find information, guidance, and community in one place.

Why NeuroNest Exists

Many parents describe the early stages of this journey as confusing and isolating. Information can feel scattered, services can be difficult to access, and it’s not always clear what steps to take next. NeuroNest was created to reduce that sense of overwhelm and make reliable information easier to find. At the heart of NeuroNest, we want to connect families with supports, services, and each other in a space that feels supportive.

It’s a place where you can move at your own pace, without pressure.

What You’ll Find

NeuroNest brings together different parts of the journey in one place:

  • Information: clear guidance from early concerns through to next steps
  • Resources: practical supports, services, and directories
  • Support: access to professionals and helpful advice
  • Community: space to connect with others who understand

Everything is designed to be accessible, trustworthy, and easy to navigate.

A little note before you begin…
NeuroNest is based in Ireland, so some of the information you’ll find here is specific to the Irish system. This includes things like: assessment and diagnosis, education, financial supports, services, and applications. A lot of what we share – from understanding autism to communication, sensory needs, routines, sleep and everyday life – can be helpful wherever you live. If you’re outside Ireland, just keep in mind that some services, supports, and processes may look a little different where you are.

Wherever you’re starting from, we hope you find something here that makes things feel a little clearer and a little less overwhelming.

Our Philosophy

At the heart of NeuroNest is a simple belief: support should be clear, accessible, and human. We aim to present information in a way that is easy to understand while balancing practical guidance with emotional support. We respect that every child and family is different and aim to keep the voice of autistic individuals and families at the core of what we do.

The cornerstone of this platform is about helping you find your way amidst all the noise. You don’t need to navigate everything at once. Whether you are just beginning to have questions, waiting for an assessment, or looking for ongoing support, you are welcome here. NeuroNest is here to support you – step by step.

Growing With You

NeuroNest is growing alongside the families it supports.

Right now, this platform is focused on supporting families at the beginning of their journey – when things can feel most uncertain and overwhelming. But, this is not a finished resource. It’s something that is continuously learning, evolving, and improving.

We are always open to feedback from parents, educators, and professionals. If there’s something you feel would help – something missing, something that could be clearer, or something that made a difference for your child – your input matters. The aim is to build something that genuinely supports families, in a way that feels calm, accessible, and grounded in real experience.

A Thoughtful Approach

NeuroNest is built with care, but it’s important to recognise that this is a space that touches on deeply personal experiences. Language, perspectives, and preferences around autism – and neurodivergence more broadly – can vary from person to person. The intention is always to be respectful, supportive, and inclusive. If anything on this platform doesn’t feel right, or could be expressed more thoughtfully, that feedback is always welcome. This space will continue to evolve – learning from both lived experience and the wider community.

Looking Ahead

While NeuroNest currently focuses on autism and the early stages of a child’s journey, the long-term aim is to grow into a space that supports neurodivergence more broadly. Our goal is to expand to support autistic individuals at later stages too, including primary school, secondary school, and eventually adulthood. Over time, we hope to grow and include information and resources that recognise and support a range of experiences across childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. The goal is to build something that reflects the diversity of real lives – not just one pathway or one perspective.
